The Jönköping district currently consists of 16 employees and one district manager. The average age is 47, and 59% of the staff are women. The district operates both locally within Jönköping County and in collaboration with other districts in the South region. Business travel may be required. Placement is offered at one of our offices in Nässjö or Värnamo. Placement at our headquarters in Jönköping may also become an option in the future.

Responsibilities

The work as a Forestry Consultant is varied and offers stimulating tasks as well as excellent opportunities for professional development.

Your main duties will fall within our advisory operations. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting advisory activities in the form of, for example, forestry days or digital meetings for both landowners and professionals within the forestry sector. We work in a modern and flexible advisory environment where a large part of our activities are conducted digitally via Teams, while physical meetings and field visits remain an important part of the work. Other official duties may also be included.

For the right candidate, the position may also include the role of Deputy District Manager. You will have a supportive role for the district manager in daily management, provide support to employees in change processes, actively contribute to a positive work environment, and represent the district when necessary. In collaboration with the district manager, you will be responsible for parts of planning, follow-up, and development.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university degree in forestry and good knowledge of forest management and climate-related forestry issues. Previous experience in forestry advisory work is an asset. We prefer candidates with experience in pedagogy, leadership, and digital course activities.

You hold a manual B-class driver's license.

We place great importance on your personal qualities. The role requires you to be proactive, able to drive activities independently, and work in a structured manner. You need to be confident speaking in front of others and find it easy to absorb new knowledge. The ability to create, maintain, and develop contacts is important as you will have ongoing contact with forest owners, forestry companies, and the public.

Our Offer to You

We offer a permanent full-time position (100%) starting with a 6-month probation period. Start date is negotiable. You will state your preferred location (Värnamo or Nässjö) in one of the selection questions.

Please submit your application no later than April 26th!
